Creating & Designing Gardens
We – Frances Riley and Robert Pockett have been designing and creating gardens for 17 years. We work as a team to help achieve the reality of a garden project. Working to budgets and timescales agreed our clientelle, our aim is to make the experience a pleasure for our clients.
Frances has a first class honours Degree in Garden Design, and worked for many years as a gardener, before embarking on design. Her knowledge of plants, and understanding site specific problems leads to excellent design opportunities.Always considering aspect, budget, and styling, she achieves perfect blends of natural, beautiful spaces. Modern clean lines of interiors match elegant decking and eating areas.A garden is to be ultimately designed for pleasure. It no longer serves as a place simply to grow food. It is a place to relax, enjoy, eat, party, or sleep. It must be also be useful, enabling a skilled designer to marry practicality with beauty..
Working as a team of landscapers we offer both the planning and construction of your project.(Although you may ask us to do either one of these engagements) This enables the creation from first thought, through to finished product -a carefully considered and composed garden built with care and attention to detail .
“Our philosophy and work ethic includes personal service and an awareness that a garden is a living, changing space which must be allowed to grow and be nurtured to achieve its full potential.
Some gardens need be helped along after they are built, and plants and tastes change just as we do”. Organic and sustainable methods are used as much as possible in all the gardens we create and we are aware of the crucial benefits to wildlife and fauna through adopting this attitude.Art, sculpture, colour and texture are all words which , as a designer I consider in each garden project under taken.
Style and detailing is something I to believe to be absolutely at the heart of all gardens too
