About Frances

Frances originally trained as a dancer – working in theatres in the UK. She learnt to garden to support her early profession and became quite simply hooked on plants and gardens. Having self taught from then on – she was given a garden to develop, and the passion for creating vistas of the garden – from the house- became her main focus. In 1992 she set up 1 to One and the business has grown alongside her skill and expertise.

London Open College under John Lucas offered her a diploma and in 2014  1st class Degree in Garden Design at Kingston University (BA HONS).

She now has a team of gardeners who work alongside her, and a husband who builds her designs from scratch.

She is currently designing and consulting in the Home Counties of England.
